This is for all parents working from home and also have to homeschool their children. How do you combine your own work, helping the children, while maintaining peace at home?

These are 4 things we do to get through this homeschooling period the best we can.

  1. Accept
Now is not the time to be disappointed about all the things you wanted to do, but can not. Focus on what is important and what really needs to be done. The rest will come later.
  2. Divide
We divide the attention for the children with each other. If I am not in charge for a while, then I will sit in a different place. That is the place where you can really work.
  3. Exercise
We go outside for at least 30 minutes every day: walking, running, inline skating. What you do, doesn’t really matter. As long as it is being active outdoors.
  4. Evaluate
Every night during dinner we all reflect on the day and rate it with a number. And we look at what we can do differently and better tomorrow. This way we keep the feedback loop short and we prevent minor frustrations from becoming issues.

What works for you?
